It’s the first day of Autumn but it still feels like there is some summer left for us Melbournians. Then again, being in Melbourne.. who knows right?!!
I’ve been wanting to share my green smoothie recipe for a while now, and now it’s come just before we move into soup and curry season (which I LOVE.)
I have this green smoothie for breakfast nearly every morning before heading off to work, along with a couple of boiled eggs. It’s a simple combo and it works for me. I don’t feel too heavy but it keeps me going, often until lunch. Sometimes I’ll have a little snack as well.
For the green smoothie novices out there, fear not! This smoothie still has a lot of sweetness from the banana and the coconut water, so I promise it won’t taste like pond water!
This smoothie is also quite well rounded with protein, healthy fats and with the goodness of greenery, it makes a great snack or quick meal option. The maca powder is added to bring some energy enhancing properties into your day.
And here is a demonstration of how to enjoy your smoothie.. hehe
So, without further ado. I introduce to you my Simply Green Smoothie.
